New PB - 14.366 @ 97.62 mph -

Well I recently installed a Injen cold air intake and 6000k hid's and decided to take the old girl to the track one last time this year. It was a pretty good day all in all. The sun was out and temps were in the lower 50's. Traction wasn't the best, but I still managed to do pretty good. I got 3 runs in total before a car wrecked and f'd up the track pretty bad so we left. The first two runs were full of wheel spin netting a 14.5 and 14.7. My third run was golden!

14.3661 @ 97.62 mph w/ a 2.213 sixty foot

The car had a little under half a tank of gas (93 octane) and had full interior. I do power shift and I lowered my front tire pressure down a bit to help with traction. The only performance mod I have done is the Injen cold air intake. My best 1/4 before the cai was a 14.511 @ 96.77 mph, so the intake made a good difference. With a few more runs I might have been able to do a little better. The intake is a great mod and I recommend it to everyone. Next year I'll have a race header, catback, and hondata. 13's here I come :)

Enjoy all!

Not today no, I had to step it down a notch to around 4500 rpm w/ a pretty good slip/feather of the clutch. The track and my tires were to cold to use the 5500 rpm limiter that I normally use.

60 foot times were about the same as usual. My best in this car so far is a 2.201. I can't seem to get any lower on the all season 17" radials. I think I may buy some slicks for next season. I had them on my all motor MX-6 and I LOVED them. Pulling 1.8's all day long is a great feeling. Of course pulling low 1.7's and high 1.6's in my DSM is even funner haha!
