NOPI OH with some civic pics.

well last weekend i went down to NOPI OH at Norwalk Raceway. anybody here go? blu where were you?

anyways i met THR, Team Honda Reasearch. they were racing their stock Si on the brackts. all their Si had was a gutten interior and roll cage. so i figure it was probably same weight as stock if no more, cause cage weights a bunchs. i talked to the driver, and the crew. one of the members of the crew was a designer of the Si. The car was running low 14's all day. freaking awsome driver. stock car, performance rubber. 14.2 best time, also 14.4, 14.6. He raced a saturn ion redline on the brakect racing head ups, and beat the crap out of it. at least 4 car lenghts.

i asked the driver what RMPs i should launch at. to my amazment he said 5,000 rmps, and even on stock crap tires.

there was a GGM Si in the car show. all he had was 19" wheels, and tein springs. he had 5 trophys in front of it. crazy. I talk to him also, and he said how everyone thinks his Si is fast. and i mentioned how my friends call it slow.

I also got to meet some famous people. John Shepard, David Busher, and Bret Rau. I'm an ex DSMer, and if you were into DSM's you'd know these are the GODS!

here are some pics: i took over 70 but here are my 8th gen ones.

And exactly how does a stock Si get 5 trophies? This is perplexing to me. Did you see where they were from?

Seriously. Don't get me wrong. Good for the guy who got it but if it's that easy then half of us should be leaving with $, trophies or partial sponsorships.

yeah the guys on the Team Honda Research were amazed that the car had trophys from NOPI shows also. basicly its a new car, and not that common yet. the driver of the show si said that no one brings them out, so he's like the only one with a new Si at the show.

Good runs man. I was the guy in the Mazda hat the came up and talked to you while you were in line before the start of the bracket class race. I really should have brought my Si and entered. I have been running great and consitant times in mine. A couple of weeks ago I ran 4 - 14.5's back to back 100% stock. O well, but again great car man!
