I went to Battle of the Imports over the weekend and saw three SI's run (two GG FG2's and a RR FA5). I was soooo disappointed in the track times. I did see one 15.1 but the rest were mid-high 15's and even some 16's. Makes me wonder if I really want a SI...breaks my heart!

the weather has a lot to due with it. your from VA and i know in md it was very very hot and humid all weekend. Although low to mid 15's are normal numbers for MOST stock si's. wait till the weather cools down and you will see those cars run a lot better times. in april when the weather was around 60 i ran a 14.4 with intake and exhaust. so do not feel discouraged. do you know what other cars were running?

hmmm.... well let me speak for everyone on this forum si>tc. maybe those drivers sucked. but with the right driver the si is easy a low 15 high 14 second car. i know when the weather cools down and i get some better tires i expect to run high 13's with i/h/e.

I know that heat and humidity= slower track times but since I'm from VA, almost all of track season is heat and humidity. I want something that can still hold it's own in the heat. Heat shouldn't be that big of an excuse.

This one was at MIR. I have no idea how much it was to get in but I know it was pretty expensive for admission and to run and show. We got into free because Scion VIP events are awesome. Got in and got to run for free, got to sit in the AC in the tower, and free ribs...yes! Lol.

if ur boy-friend was running 15.5 in a stock tc then the si will do better than that with proper driver. The si in fact more powerful/faster than the tc so that tells u the si' drivers u witnessed at the track suck ass at tracking their cars. hope that helps. Just for ***** n giggles maybe next time ur b/f can track down one of those crappy si drivers and see if he can take one down the track to see what he can get out of it. Fat chance i know lol. Mid-low 14's is very realistic for close to stock si's. There are lots of variables though that will effect the times.
