That would block the side airbag.

The gauge pillar is made specifically to fit the 2006+ Civic, and the gauges are functional. Your side curtain air bag will need to be disconnected when you install this part.

nice gauges, but when it comes to safety vs. coolness...safety hands down.

Are you talking about the glow shift gauges, or the pod? or both?

The gauges....they are good for a temporary but I would go with autometer, AEM, greddy etc...decent name brands.

I have the pod with AEM gauges and the pod is great...I recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind losing the side airbag.

the side airbag is not located there. it is up top and comes down like a curtain. that is where it gets the name from(side curtain airbags). the plastic just snaps right off very easily and you can see there is nothing behind it except for a mounting bolt for the airbag bracket.
