Did you buy the trim piece only or you have to buy the whole kits? ( 2006 Honda Civic DIN & DBL Din Kit Dark Atlas Grey color match at Scosche.com ) thanks! |

Did you connect the resistor between the two? Also when i was programming it, I thought it wasn't working at first because I wasn't holding the buttons on the steering wheel long enough. You might have to give us some more information on what you are doing in order for us to help you. Are you getting to the programming part? Are you getting the correct sequences of lights that are described in the tutorial and the instructions that came with the PAC? Good luck.

guess what! I got it to work successfully =)! No I had the resistor there already and wiring correct, but it was down to the programming that stumped me. According to the directions here Jepetto has the right steps of each button, but the procedure to program each key was a lot different. I can't explain how I did it cuz it took me 2-3 hours to figure this out! You know what sucks? My car didn't have enough sufficient juice to start my engine haha. Everything else was working headlights, instrument lights, etc. I did all this on my driveway at 10PM and ended at 12AM what a mission! I also ended up breaking my Pioneer trim piece which I so carefully trimmed to fit back in July =(. It was bending so I tried to straighten it and it snapped.
The way I programmed it was through me manually hitting the program button when the LED blinked the version of my car. From there every button I pressed made the light go off and then back on for the next button for programming. Not even the manual was really helpful. I was so close to giving up and selling the PAC to someone here. Thank God! |

Basically, you don't have to go past the 5100 ohm. Why? because a resistor will most likely resist(as the name tells) an excessive amount of e- flow(electricity) throughout the circuit that may cause damage. So, a resistor will keep electric flow within the safe current numbers so your PAC controller won't get burnt. |

This DIY is great, but i am lost on a couple of things.
The PAC steering wheel control, does that come with the d3? separate? or what? Also in the picture where you have to move the yellow mute wire, how do you do that? do you pull it out of the plastic pin connector and push it into the one up? or what? |

Nope PAC is a different company you have to buy it separately.
