So can you comment on the difference in sound quality with upgraded tweets? The crappy stock tweeters were the first thing I noticed about the oem sound system. I must will replace them, I just wasn't sure if the problem was in the HU or in the Tweet. And you are still running the stock HU, yes?

runing stock head unit....Sound quality is 100 % better no more crackling when alot of high end sounds are in a song...
Infinity makes an awesome tweeter since the ones i have are not available to the private market. You can find them in crutchfield....

The Infinity Kappa 10.9t ? They are 1", is that the correct diameter I'd need in order to do an install similar to yours?

Sorry for the necro...

The Kappa's have Z=2-ohm. Is that not a problem? The factory tweeters are 4-ohm.

shouldn't be a problem...it could burn up amp on car but not likely...

Fair enough. Thanks for the DIY. I was going to go with some Infinity Kappa's, but decided to just go with the impedance matching Pioneer TS-T110's instead.
