this reminds me.. Does anyone know why they took the welcome screen off the 2007 lx models?? this makes me mad.. i had it on every other 8th gen ive owned now nothin... plz explain

LX model never had the feature of changing the message.

I have a problem, mine does not ever say welcome, nor do any of these steps work on mine, any suggestions?

I believe only Canadian EX models come with it.... I just set mine up.. says "It's VTEC Time : " - then time right beside it.. lol If only I knew how to set the clock now... :)

I have USDM EX with MT and I changed mine...

BTW: to change the clock turn off the stereo, hold the "clock" button until your clock blinks then use the "next track" or "previous track" to change between Hours and minutes...your stereo should have a little "h" and a little "m" use those to change the clock time, when you're done...hit clock again.
