angelgkd What are you asking? Connector #1 pins #4,5,6,13,14 are in the post. 8thGenAtmicBluDwnFrc Did you loose your radio code? You should have it with your paperwork from the dealer. Pics of AVIC-Z1 install for the SI. I was asked to take some side shots. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sort of. Do you mean that you want the stock deck to act as basic controls for the AM deck, changing CD tracks, radio channels, volume, etc. but have the aftermarket deck act as amplifier, CD player, and EQ to the speakers?
THAT would be an amazing DIY. I hope you're an electrical engineer with a decent background in firmware. EDIT: Or do you want them both to work? I guess you could take the speaker out from the stock deck and LOC it so you could plug it into an AUX in on the AM deck. This wouldn't defeat things like bass and treble control on the stock deck though. |

NoiseGoth hit on what I was thinking. It would not be easy to do but if you had a remote control for the AM radio you might be able to pull it off.
I would talk to some pros and see what they can come up with.... They might know of something I don"t. Good luck with your idea though. |

The Aux in would be of slightly lower sound quality vs a direct ipod adapter, since the Aux in uses a signal from your iPod's headphone output, not the line level output from the iPod dock connector. You could get clever and use the dock connector to connect to the Aux cable if you want to go on the cheap, but iPod adapters allow you to control your iPod, to some extent, from the factory radio. I recently installed the USA Spec iPod adapter in my EX and am rather pleased with the results. A couple minor gripes, but none related to sound quality. It sounds much better than when I was using the AUX in. |

how to connect 4 channel amp to the factory HU?
Hi All,
This has been a great post. Thanks to everyone who contributed. I'm a newbie and has some questions. I have a 06 EX Coupe with premium sound (without Nav). I'm trying to add Infinity Basslink II to the factory HU. As you all know Basslink II also has the 4 channel amp output for the speakers. Now here are my questions. - How do I get 4 channel signal for Basslink II amp? The amp takes in both RCA and speaker level inputs. But the HU doesnt have RCA out. - For the front speakers, where do I connect the amp to? To the tweeter or to the woofer? Does anyone know the location of crossover? - I know that there is a factory amp. Can I bypass the factory amp and get the signal to the basslink amp? Ideally I would like to retian the steering controls. All ideas apreciated. Thanks in advance. |

I just want to do the sound upgrades myself, for budget reason of course. And also about the removal of the consoles, will they be the same when it comes to the clips and bolts? All advice are very much welcome........Thanks in advance everyone. :) ![]() |

now that you have the radio installed you probably no longer have the keyless entry anymore, along with the gauge cluster lights not working properly, and the head lights probably turn off with the car and can not be turned on manually, how do you fix this little mess
