ok to clear up any probs between 77250-SNA-A01ZA (Center Panel Gunmetal) & 77250-SNA-A01ZB (Center Panel Taupe Cunmetal). 77250-SNA-A01ZA for civics with Gray/Black interior & 77250-SNA-A01ZB is for the Civics tjat have the tan/Brown interior.

I looked at the remote switch tonight and not to shure witch wires control this. Wire colors on the switch were
#1 Brown with sivler
#2 Green with Silver
#3 Green and Red with silver
#4 Red and Black with Silver
#s 2 and 4 seam to be power leads of some sort as they went to the Cruise control switch also.
#s 1 and 3 seam to be signal reply leads.
This will take more looking in to as the wires change colors at some point along the way.
My guess would be connector #2 - #s 4 and 5 but I dont know for shure...

The site for that Controler said something about using a volt meter to find the wires, maybe the instructions will list how to do that????
If you find them let me know as the next radio i get will have wire remote leads or an adapter like that....

Dont cut that wire..............BOOM. LOL

I also want to find the wires for the Aux input jack at some point.

I have not done it to my SI yet I can't seam to pic the HU I want for the SI.
Thinking of the AVIC-Z1 but I like Alpine and Kenwood. So I am stuck in limbo.
The wires and all that other stuff should be the same but some people have had poblems getting sound, I don't know if they hooked up the amp lead on conector #2 though.
I would think someone would have put a SI radio thread up if it was that different. Or said so on this thread...

I just got my PAC SWI-ALP for my IVA-W200 and it says that the steering control is #7

But without it connected it still worked, the key wire was the PINK wire.

#4 / Radio marking as REMC Pink (not used)

I'll try out my swi-alp tomorrow.

you just measure the resistance across two pins, if the resistance changes when you press a button, you have your wire. Most of these controll systems work on a simple system where they are supplied with 12v. The controll actually has only 2 wires total. When no switches are being pressed, the current runs through a large resistor that cuts the voltage down to something like 2 volts. when you press any of the momentary switches (volume up/down, channel up/down, mode) they each have a resistor in them with a lower value than the one the current normally runs through. so when you press volume up, the current follows the path of least resistance and the voltage increases to, lets say, 4v for as long as you hold the switch. The HU simply has a voltmeter built in. Any time the voltage changes to 4 volts, it knows to increase the volume one step.

I have not personally tested the Civic's system yet, however this is how the cruise and other controlls worked on my gm cars and my toyota. Good luck to you, it is really simple to test this, shouldn't take more than a minute or two.

If this turns out to be how the controlls work, those of you out there without steering wheel controlls could actually add them rather easily with your own little circuit board and a bit of wiring fun

Oh, BTW, the colors on that chart do not apply to the civic 06 ex 4door. the pin locations are correct, but don't go by the colors, I had to rewire mine after realizing that the pins and colors didn't match my car.
