Did the install a couple days ago.

For anyone reading this, I wasn't thrilled with the scosche kit at all. I'm pretty forgiving, but the factory radio trim is a couple shades lighter than the trim around the gauge cluster. And the Scosche kit is a shade lighter than that. So once installed, it stand out quite a bit. I mean, sure all the panels are "grey" but they aren't even close to the same shade. The fit was fine. The texture is a little off. Looks like a crappy paint job texture honestly. I could deal with it though. The color bugs me more.

But most of all, the god damn kit comes with a pocket. Then screws that you're suppose to screw into the side of the pocket through some brackets to hold it in place. Well first the screws they include are not big enough to even screw into place. Not long enough or big around enough to grab a bite of the plastic. Secondly, thanks to their piss poor design, you have 1/32" of plastic to screw into before it pokes out and into the pocket. Being visible and scratching your hand if you were to reach in. It's a complete failure if you ask me and I am ASTOUNDED that they released this design to the market. Do they not test assemble even one kit before they release it?!?!?!?!?!?

just got this new aftermarket radio. with new subs and amp,

just got the harness for my 06 civic coupe ex.

connected the colors to colors "matched colors"

and then hook up my radio and no sound is played but i do get a display on the radio and the amp does not even turn on.

and the color diagram you guys have here does not even match what wires i have that come out of my car.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
THERE ARE NO SILVER STRIPS ON THE WIRES.

#1 / Ground - Black with silver stripe no silver strip just black
#2 / Rear R - Yellow with silver stripeIS FOR CONSTANT 12V NOT REAR SPEAKER
#3 / Front R - Red with silver stripe THERE IS NO SILVER STRIP
#4 / Radio marking as LET Lt. blue with silver stripe (not used)THERE IS NO BLUE WIRE
#5 / Radio marking as TEL No wire (EX w/nav?)
#6 / Radio marking as SECU Green with silver stripe (not used)WHTIE STRIP NOT SILVER
#7 / Front L - Orange with silver stripeTHERE IS NO ORANGE WIRE
#8 / Rrear L - White with silver stripe NOT SILVER
#9 / Illumination - Red with silver stripe NO RED WITH SILVER STRIP
#10 / Battery 12v + White with silver stripeITS NOT WHITE ITS THE YELLOW WIRE FOR CONSTANT 12V
#11 / Rear R + Brown with silver stripe THERE IS NO BROWN
#12 / Front R + Green with silver stripe
#13 / ACC ignition Purple with silver stripe
#14 / Radio marking as SPD Blue with silver stripe (not used)
#15 / Front L + Blue with silver stripeTHERE IS NO BLUE
#16 / Rear L + Black with silver stripeNO BLACK WITH SILVER
#17 / Illumination + Gray with silver stripe

What is going on here? no colors match nore are what you say as ur diagram here. the dealer i got my harness from told me to match colors and the one wire left that the car wire does not have is the orange wire with white strip. and i get no sound and amp does not turn on. but the radio shows letters and numbers etc...

There is a wiring kit available. There are two parts to it depending on the model civic you have. I found mine at Future Shop. 40bucks canadian after tax. hope that helps.

It came out looking nowhere near the factory dark gray color of the rest of the dash plastic (IE the gage cluster cover plate). It looks ok relative to the rest of the dash on the right hand side, but it looks silver compared to the dark gray gage panel plastic.

Very annoying. So I ordered the factory one from Honda, which I'm picking up today or tomorrow, and sending the POS Scosche unit back to Crutchfield. So just a heads up, if you are even the slightest bit concerned with the look of your dash, forget the scosche unit. Also the factory one was half the cost. I wish I had gotten that from the start, but I figured since I was ordering speakers and wire harness' from crutchfield I'd go ahead and get the panel while I was at it. BIG mistake. There are guys that reviewed tha panel on the CF website who must be totally color blind, saying that is looks fine unless you are looking for it. Total BS, it is not even in the same ballpark of gray. Either Honda changed the color at some point, or the color match experts at Scosche are morons.

Hope that keeps someone else from making the same mistake...

Chris,

The one from Honda is the part # at the top of the thread? Where did you get yours from?

heres an option run the brake wire to a toggle switch and then a wire from the switch to a ground, then you flip the switch on and off and then on again.

This has probably been answered but hopefully someone can help me on this. I sold my s2000 and took out my Pioneer components and want to put them into my Si now.

Do I need to run the Pioneer crossovers or can I just replace the door speaker and tweeters? I have the Non-Nav Prem.

Thanks for posting this! it saved me so much time. I found that the screws under the radio weren't that bad when using a hex socket instead of the Phillips.

need screw part #

Does anyone know where i can find the part # for the two phillips head screws that are found underneath the stereo in the little pocket. You know, the ones that are a pain in the butt to see. I had a car audio company do my install but they used another bracket that failed to use the correct parts. Now i am correcting the screw up and am just missing those two screws. Thanks all for the help.

kinda unrelated but...

does anyone know how to remove the sickle shaped panel that sits between the tach hump and the speedometer. Can this be removed without removing everything in front of it..(radio and A/C vents)?

Thumbs up Aftermarket DVD Player

I've new to this forum! So please be nice!
I've looked around but have not seem anyone reporting on this unit
Well it took me only 20 minutes to install, from removing the old unit and installing the new one, no need to cut wires or mods. This is a very nice unit for the price, works great, DVD, Radio, TV (need digital TV Tuner), USB, SD, GPS (Came with IGO 8.3.2 version), Bluetooh, IPOD connection, backup camera connection....the only thing it does not much 100% the color on the dash, but I'm not worried about that. It took 5 days from the day it was shipped to the day it was delivered.
Here are some pictures, but if you are interested let me know, I can get the contact person direct in china.
