Did the install a couple days ago.
For anyone reading this, I wasn't thrilled with the scosche kit at all. I'm pretty forgiving, but the factory radio trim is a couple shades lighter than the trim around the gauge cluster. And the Scosche kit is a shade lighter than that. So once installed, it stand out quite a bit. I mean, sure all the panels are "grey" but they aren't even close to the same shade. The fit was fine. The texture is a little off. Looks like a crappy paint job texture honestly. I could deal with it though. The color bugs me more. But most of all, the god damn kit comes with a pocket. Then screws that you're suppose to screw into the side of the pocket through some brackets to hold it in place. Well first the screws they include are not big enough to even screw into place. Not long enough or big around enough to grab a bite of the plastic. Secondly, thanks to their piss poor design, you have 1/32" of plastic to screw into before it pokes out and into the pocket. Being visible and scratching your hand if you were to reach in. It's a complete failure if you ask me and I am ASTOUNDED that they released this design to the market. Do they not test assemble even one kit before they release it?!?!?!?!?!? |

This has probably been answered but hopefully someone can help me on this. I sold my s2000 and took out my Pioneer components and want to put them into my Si now.
Do I need to run the Pioneer crossovers or can I just replace the door speaker and tweeters? I have the Non-Nav Prem. |

need screw part #
Does anyone know where i can find the part # for the two phillips head screws that are found underneath the stereo in the little pocket. You know, the ones that are a pain in the butt to see. I had a car audio company do my install but they used another bracket that failed to use the correct parts. Now i am correcting the screw up and am just missing those two screws. Thanks all for the help.

kinda unrelated but...
does anyone know how to remove the sickle shaped panel that sits between the tach hump and the speedometer. Can this be removed without removing everything in front of it..(radio and A/C vents)?

I've new to this forum! So please be nice!
I've looked around but have not seem anyone reporting on this unit Well it took me only 20 minutes to install, from removing the old unit and installing the new one, no need to cut wires or mods. This is a very nice unit for the price, works great, DVD, Radio, TV (need digital TV Tuner), USB, SD, GPS (Came with IGO 8.3.2 version), Bluetooh, IPOD connection, backup camera connection....the only thing it does not much 100% the color on the dash, but I'm not worried about that. It took 5 days from the day it was shipped to the day it was delivered. Here are some pictures, but if you are interested let me know, I can get the contact person direct in china. |
