Hey gus738, yea i'm active been busy though. I made a paint diagram for you. It's really terrible, but hopefully you can get the idea. Yes you need an amp bypass AND a radio harness.
Speaker wires coming from the speaker harness on the factory amp (under the shifter) go to the amp bypass, the red, yellow, and black wires are used in the radio harness only. So basically the radio harness provides the unit with power, and the amp bypass provides the unit with sound. ![]() |

i went to circuitcity yesterday. they told me that they can't install any in-dash in 07 civic because there are no aftermarket part for in-dash.
then i went to Cartoys, they said they can install it right now. they cahrging me $80 for kit , $175 for installation and $ 30 for wires and shit. the total amount is $560 . |

dont let car-toys touch your car. Go find a mom & pop shop in your area and look at their installers book of jobs they have done. If they dont have one move on to the next shop until you find one that has a good installer who takes pride in his work. Ever hear of car toys nightmare stories? I did, then ignored them, then one happened to me, it wasnt too bad, but i was still pissed.

Question for xxfrozen
First i would like to say hi to all of the members at 8th civic, i just got myself an 2007 LX sedan. I´m a big car audio fan (i drive a lot) and need some help from you guys.
Does your original head unit have 6 line level outs (front, rear and sub)?. I would like to know if i can use an audiocontrol EQS (that's an eq with 3 pairs of line and rca inputs) and connect the audio out rca cables of it (front, rear and sub) into the new amps. I´ll install 2 amps (one for a pair of component speakers (front and rear) and a another for sub in the trunk). Thank you guys ! |
