Did you round off the head when you tried to get it off with the 9mm socket?

Screwdriver will work but it's more of a PITA than a socket and ratchet.

i don't think i did since the 9mm was way too big for the bolt so it didnt make any contact with any part of the bolt.
ive tried for an hour and getting relaly sick of this.. -o-
im tihnking my ratchet isnt working since theres not enough room in there to angle it properly
maybe i need another ratchet.. what a pain..

actually i was just wondering.. is it possible to take off part of the middle center console without taking off those 2 bolts? i just want to put the hazard button in so i don't need to remove the entire center console?

DDIN Kenwood Install

Hey everyone,
I'm about to put a Kenwood 812 in my new 09. The first page listed the following parts that are required.

Center Panel Gray (Part # 77250-SNA-A01ZA)/Center Panel Tan (Part # 77250-SNA-A01ZB)
Passenger Side Radio Bracket (Part # 77255-SNA-A00)
Driver Side Radio Bracket (Part #77256-SNA-A00)
DIN Pocket (Part # 08B60-SCV-100)

I called my dealer and they were able to find all the parts except the last one
DIN Pocket (Part # 08B60-SCV-100), now I'm from Canada and not sure if this is why...that part is it a DIN for an Element with Nav unit? As we don't have Element's here with Nav.
Do you absolutely need this part to do an install for a Double Din unit?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
joe

quick question, im trying to install a 4 channel to a factor HU which has speaker input. So i can use this feature instead of getting a LOC. But as far as the remote wire, would i still need to take out the stock HU and connect with the 12 v wire? amp is mrp-f300

I said screw the headunit remote and the amp remote and i just used the cig lighter since that voltage only turns on when you are in the ACC position.

Does anyone have any idea if that part is absolutely necessary? Is there a different part number I can call and ask the dealer for. Someone must know...

They have kits that have all the parts you need for single or double din. I just installed a single din in my car saving up for double din. I am planing to use the same kit. This DIY is great I had printed it out and followed it step by step. No problems it kept the guess work out. I loved it thanks guys !!

Yeah, that have 2 kits.
Schoche & Metra. But others have complained that neither is as good as doing it with the OEM Honda parts, so that's why I was asking, because I want to do it with OEM parts and not a kit.

The metra kit (I've heard) only has plastic that holds the radio in, bah who wants plastic...so it can break.
That's why I need to know if I need that extra Honda Element Din pocket, as it's made of metal.

HAND BRAKE(-)
LT. BLUE OR ORANGE / IN WHITE PLUG RIGHT OF STEERING COLUMN

ugh- I'm 80% done with my Eclipse 6620, Bluetooth, Ipod, Mono amp, JL 10" sub, 6.5 JL components (Doors), and 6.5 JL coax (rear deck).

Thanks for any help.

When you use the amp bypass harness instead of the integration, do the tweeters still work with the premium audio system? I know the stock sub wont work, but I would like the tweeters to work.

I have an '06 Civic sedan and I have a DVD player installed in the top DIN slot as shown on the Install pictures. Is it possible to put the DVD player in the bottom DIN slot. Is there any problem with doing this aside from having limited access to the cubby hole once its on top?
