i have the same D1 that i just put in. I think the general consensus is that the ipod capabilities of the D1/D2 are much more limited and just plain suck compared to that of the D3. Also, you can't play dvd movies straight out of the D1/D2 unit itself, you will need an external source (ps2/pioneer's dvd player) etc etc.

Sounds like you want/need a D3.

Sorry yes you are right i meant the d3 because i like the fact i can control the ipod on it with touch screen instead of driving and playin with the ipod to change songs u kno

i am about to buy the D3 for my 07 Si, but before i do, i wanted to know how you wired the sound system? is there an external amp that i feed using the pre-amp connections? or just connect it to D3

After reading some of the audio section, i THINK there are 2 ways to hook up an aftermarket deck. You can do the amp bypass,, or the amp integration.

I decided to do the amp integration, and all the speakers work fine, and it sounds great with my D1. Doing the integration only added maybe 20 minutes to the install

Try this in the ICE forum: "Stock GPS antenna location please!
Trendari"

On that link is a picture as I was curious myself.

I instaled this my self in an LX, it has the regular basic sound system so i didnt run into any factory amp problems.

The antenna is sitting on the dash right under the windshield. the wire is tucked in and runs down the windshield to the right and then is tucked in around the corner at the a piller and then goes under the dash to meet up with the navi unit. its very simply to do.

my plans on the car ps have halted for a while but i still want to build one because the d1's functions are no where close to what a car pc could do.
