How to make a MP3 CD
I guess this isn't technically a car DIY, but it took me a while to find a program and stuff so I figured this DIY might be useful.
Step 1: Burn your music to CDs Step 2: Rip your music using CD-DA X-Tractor, remember to change to MP3 output in the options Step 3: Use the properties of the files to name albums, artists, song titles, etc. Step 4: Organize your music into folders, these can work like playlists in the car Step 5: Burn the CD as a data CD, and put it into the car "Step" 6: Once in the car the "disp" button can be used to display artist, name, etc, and using the rdm button can be used to both randomize all songs, and just one folder. btw, the tune knob switches folders remember that if you can't hear your music is too loud, or your exhaust is too quiet |

Question: Does the mp3 player in the car decide on the order alphabetically? I have ass loads of mp3's, but when I make a folder and burn them for the car, they sometimes play out of order... I tried putting numbers before some the other day, but the damn cd burning software made if like 1 11 12 13... 19 20... so I changed my indexing and put a letter before each track... is there an easier way?

it does it exactly how you see it on the screen (whatever program you use...)
but like.. I have all my music divided into folders... so I just put folders on a cd.. and they're usually in alphabetical order as windows media player likes to just set it up that way.. |
