Mike
I have a DNDIY (do not do it yourself )

1. Download your favorite bands entire discography.

2. Drag the files/folders to your CD drive and hit Burn

wow, people-why not just use NERO and just drag all your mp3's onto a disc and click burn-wham, bam, you're done. Of course, you'd have to have nero, which costs $$$-but if you are resourceful-there are always ways around that...

Yeah, creating an MP3 cd is cake using Nero burning rom. Just drag/drop files & create folders to your liking.

Man! I never thought about it....I just assumed that we could not do it from the wheel controls. NICE TIP!

That's my real name!
With iTunes, the songs came out funky and over half didn't play. I just opened the CD folder when you mount the disk and dragged all my MP3's into the folder then press burn. Simple. If you want to make folders, just go to "make new folder" when you right click.

I gotta try that folder-change shortcut. Great find.

The thing I really hate about the stereo is the lack of scroll. Pressing/holding "display" while driving to see the last four characters is dangerous and silly.

I guess you guys didn't read the manual?

I seriously thought this stuff was common sense! Wow....
But, yeah, I use nero. Simple drag and drop.

I noticed it just shows the beginning part of the name and then has a > that's it.
I'm wondering if the newer Civics (07+) have scrolling text for MP3.

cant you just go to prefrences in the burn menu of itunes and change it to mp3 or data disc? i did this and it works for me, or if you just want the text and still an audio cd you can just click add text... correct?

I have an 07 and it doesn't auto-scroll either. Finally figured out that you can hold the DISP button for a couple of seconds and it will show you the rest of the title though.

best thing is that you can fit like 16 albums on 1 mp3 cd. just make sure you did not purchase the mp3's from itunes or zune. will not play because of drm

noob question... what is 'drm' ??

about 2% of my 3,800 mp3s are downloaded through iTunes  so you are saying they won't play if they're burnt onto a mp3 CD??

another noob question... when burning a mp3 CD, do you use any old blank recordable CD? Because I know when I burn a CD through iTunes, I can only fit like 18-20 songs due to the CD's limits of 80 minutes... Are there special CDs you need to buy??

Just select the playlist you want to burn, click burn disc at the bottom right, select mp3. This is with the new iTunes (8.0) With older versions I believe you went to edit > prefs > adv > burning > and then you could select cd, mp3, or data.
