DIY: Truly Ipod your car....
Ipod dock, Monster cable, dremmel and some time gives you this.
![]() Real simple instal but take a couple of hours to do. 1. Remove center console. Sorry no pic, use a DIY from the 8th, plenty of info out there. 2. Remove 4 screws and pull both plastic panels outward to get the cupholder assembly out. ![]() 3. Remove four screws to remove the plastic trim on top of the cup holder assembly. This will free up the "coin collector thing" ![]() ![]() 4. Once the "coin collector thing" is out, get out the dremmel and go to work. I got a little sloppy, but not bad for a first timer with a dremmel. This is what you get. ![]() ![]() ![]() 5. Somehow I managed to get the AUX plug to come free from its original place. Then removed the flip-down cap. ![]() ![]() 6. Run your monster wire from the AUX plug to the back of the Ipod dock and reassemble everything back. Make sure your wires are tight behind the Ipod dock so they don't happen to get in the way of the shifter, especially the short shifter. There should be a good amount of clearance but don't take that chance. ![]() 8. this is the result you get ![]() ![]() I reattached the flip-up cap on the AUX plug by wrapping some tape around the prongs that are used to clip the cap onto the plug it self. Its kind of ghetto eng. but now it looks like I didnt remove the AUX plug. Any questions let me know. Not the greatest at DIY but I think you get the picture on how to do this. If you want to go a step further and charge the Ipod while listening to your tunes, read below.

Power your Ipod!!!
Since the Center console is already mainly apart go ahaead an pull of the back cover. 6 plastic clips and 2 screws hidden underneath.
Push up a bit on the plastic panels to remove the two pastic panels from the armrest assembly. (they basically fall off themselves) Note: 2 screws are on the bottom of the armrest assembly, not marked on pic. ![]() Using a flathead screwdriver(or butter knife ) pry the clips loose on both sides to disassemble the armrest assembly.![]() Plug you Ipod car charger to the plug inside the armrest. Leave a bit of slack and assemble back the armrest. ![]() Reattach the armrest assembly to the plastic panels, then reattach the cupholder assembly to the plastic panels then run your charger wire to the back of the Ipod dock. ![]() Follow the steps on the First thread to finish up the install. Cool thing about the car chrger and the Si is that once the power is turned off in the car the charger is also turned off. Gives it a bit of a safety feature in case you leave the ipod plugged up to the dock. No drainned battery! My car charger has a blue LED(wish it was red) so it lights up my stuff that I have in the console. ![]()

I dont like having a bunch of cd's even if they are mp3 with a ton of songs on them. It can be put back to original, just have to go to honda and buy the part I cut and put every thing back like it was.

I tried finding a black dock, but only found cheap-o brand ones(they are bigger) I might do a beauty plate if I even get bored. ![]()

I bet you knock over your ipod when you shift down. Why would you mess with your car like that. You just ruined your resale value. Not to mention you have to look away from the road to pick a song. Before anybody else does this try the dock in the picture. It so perfect its like they made it for a 06 civic it moves the ipod headphone jack inches away from the aux input,it looks like your ipod is not hooked up to anything. You can even watch video in traffic. It charges your ipod and it has a built in amp that adds alot of clean bass.
