Is it possible to just put a nicer after market 8" subwoofer in place of the stock one without changing anything else?? I want a bit cleaner/more bass but I don't need a ridonkulous amount plus I need all the trunk space I can get and I don't want to weigh my car down with a big box anyway. Thanks in advance.

Well the obvious answer would be, "Why spend so much money on everything else to get premium sound, and leave the source stock?"
If you're going that far, why not install a good HU? But you can leave it stock. The only thing I would personally remove the stock HU for would be a double DIN Nav unit so it could look factory with the DX dash trim. |

you'd be quite amazed at how much just having the subs w/ the factory hu helps. it really does sound good. i'd seriously recommend this for anyone looking just for an added "boost" from stock.
when I did this mod, i had only had the car 3 days, lol, and it was the best thing i did... |
