Stock 09 radio with aftermarket subs?
I had an 07 civic EX with a system that was so bad, then a week after getting that installed i totaled it. So now I got an 09 si. My radio I did have in my EX had blue lights to match everything and now my si has reddish orange lights. So im wondering if i can still hook up my system to the stock honda radio?

you can set subs to your factory radio but you'll need a line out converter for that and you wouldnt be able to control the bass of the subs through the radio. if you really know waht you're doing you can do it yourself but i recommend taking it somewhere professional. also since you have premuim sound system in it you may need another part for it. i forget what its called but i used to work at best buy in the car audio section and they sold it. not sure if a best buy near you would have to right part or not, but i recommend taking it to best buy and having them install it. installation may be expensive though. hoped this kind of helped ya

line out converter works great. i had one in my 06 explorer until i got my pioneer head. but if u plan on adding speakers and using the stock head for a long time, i'd invest in a sound processor like the rockford fosgate 3SIXTY1 or 3SIXTY2. they let u tweak the eq settings for speakers and subs and add external sources |

buy amps with speaker level inputs installed, then send your speakers wires to the amps, run back new wire from the amps to the speakers, if you have the premium setup you already have a remote wire, so all you need is a 4channel amp with speakers inputs and and amp for you sub to power the sub, thats all, forget these LOC as they are real shoody,
on another note LOC would work with the speakers and prob the amp , depends if the stock H/U has amp controls, i dunno as i dont have a premium honda system |
