Just that Guy
Great DIY. But I did a few things different

1. For the LOC, I only connected it through my stock subwoofer instead of following the directions saying to use the left and right speakers. That way I can turn my subs off at any time and control the bass through the stock HU.

2. For the remote wire, I connected it to the LOC wires (see 1) that connected the stock subwoofer. Gives the same same signal to turn on and off when you start your car. And seemed to be a little less hassle.

Just a thought. No pics yet. But if u want some let me kno.

Stay classy
I don't have that plug, and I'm pretty sure no 07+ coupes do either.

flushdereal87: It should be just the same.

StrateLOSS: Do you mean my amp? My Alpine can be wired directly to the speaker wires without the LOC, but I had one and just went ahead and used it.

usualy the amp will come with some wiring that has a male plug that goes into the amp. if you have that harness then you most likely have built in speaker inputs.

on amps their called line inputs. post a link with the specs to your amp and ill ssee if it does

I got an LOC with a 12V remote out, but it needs a ground and a 12V connection to work. Where do I connect the power to the LOC to?

Mine said to connect the LOC power to the battery power that goes to the amp.

I need a harness made for my 2008 SI with navi.. I need the adapter someone made for the balanced RCA's, that I can plug in my new amps to from the factory NAVI Head unit.
I have the amps and have the speakers but want to acually plug it all in now..

I already installed one amp and my subs.. But now moving on to the front and rear speakers I don't want to use a line converter. I want to get balanced RCA's back to my amps.
Can anyone help me.. you can email me at filezz7 @ yahoo

For some strange reason I am unable to post a new topic..

you can make the rca connection on your own. splice a stock rca cord, the wound up silver wires are the ground, and the wire inside is the positive. just hook it up to te speaker wires.

just follow the diy for it step by step. its very easy and if your doing the install yourself im sure you can tackle that project as well

When you say speaker wire you have to mean before the amp...
LOL even though you did not say so I have to asume so.. I did not really want to start cutting up the harness. I know I can do it, but would rather have something that plugged in, so when and is I wish to sell the car it is easy enought to go back to stock.

well you need the metra harness, im not sure of the part number. ive read and seen the diy and what you do is plug in the metra harness and cut and splice the rcas onto that. you arent splicing into your factory harness.

what you do is take the metra harness, locate the 8 speaker wires and figure out which ones are for what speaker.

get the rca's and splice them. attach them to the speak wires on the metra harness.

plug that harness into your navigation and your good to go.

click on the messageboards tab in the above righthand corner, scroll down to where it says DIY, and click on the audio link, and locate the diy. it looks pretty simple
