Just kidding, mate. Welcome to the site. I don't believe you are the first member from Qatar. I would like to say that there is another but I haven't seen a post in a while.

![]() My husband was stationed in Qatar when he was in the Navy. He liked it alot. I, on the other hand, have never been there. Are you a native or an ex-pat? I ask because it seems that almost no one is from this region anymore. I was stationed in Bahrain back in 2001 and it seems I had more Australian, British, and Filipino friends than anyone else. Cheers! |

I'm British, it's the same situation out here really, most of my mates are British, Australian, American... I do have some local mates though. I think it's more of a cultural thing, it's hard to be really close friends with someone who cannot/will not do things like go to bars or have a drink, which is quite a regular feature on our social calendar out here as there isn't really that much else to do! Do you know if there are many motorsports shops out there where one can find parts for a relatively cheap price? Everything is so expensive out here, that at the moment from what I can tell it's cheaper to order from the states! I've been trying to find out if there is anywhere in the Gulf that has parts at competitive prices so I can save on the shipping. Heres a few pics of my baby: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Your car is ridiculously gorgeous and I love it.
![]() From what I've heard from folks around here, you are better just ordering from the states or Europe. The prices are sky high and a lot of places aren't willing to go much lower on them do to "rarity." I'm on lock down here, so I don't get the priviledge of experiencing the local culture but I do know that most people here complain about the utter boredom. |

Yeah, i'm just worried about ordering from outside the Gulf as i've had some trouble with Customs out here in the past, they're a bit fussy with things like this... I might give it a whirl on something relatively inexpensive first and see how it goes. Ah so you're on an Army base out there? Out here in the base they have shops where they can get stuff like pork that you can't buy here, it makes me jealous We meet quite alot of the Army men and women out here, as they seem to have taken a liking to Rugby so are always down the Rugby Club on the weekends.

I am glad to see some of my own arab people representing 8th civic from the middle east. Do you guys have the Si or Type R over there? I was in Saudi Arabia, and I saw the new civic sedan over there, it looks mych better than the one here in the US.

I love your car, but since you live in Qatar, is it really necessary to blur your license plate? I mean, I seriously doubt one of us is going to look you up by your plate number and come by and jack you.
I just found that funny for some reason, sorry. |

Yeah Foozool, your cars.
mohouse: i dont think they sell the type-r here in the showrooms, I think you have to order them. No Si's in Qatar as far as I know, either. Oh, and i'm not an Arab by the way. HAQER: "One of us"? I'm not afraid of anyone 'jacking' my car, I just don't want my license plate number to be freely available to every nutjob on the Internet. Does it really matter anyways? |
