Thanks for coming up with an Asian link to this site. As long as you're from asia may it be Japan, China, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, etc., this is a good site for all Asian 8th gen civic owners. I was browsing the Web for an Asian site and ended up empty handed so I suggested this to our Webby and he didn't let me down....
I'm from the Phils. and am a proud owner of a 8th gen Honda civic 1.8S AT. Just want to give a summary of the problems (major/minor ones) that I got from my unit... Rattling on right front side - diagnosed as a deffective engine mount; replaced last week with a 3rd generation design; so far doing well, no more rattle Defective hazard switch - still to be replaced under warranty DBW or throttle lag - am not sure if it's really an issue or it's just part of the package (that I have to accept and live with?!!! Not as advertised milleage - I'm only running 6-7km per liter, city driving Automatic transmission - feels jerky; I previously owned a T. Corolla 1996 A/T and the transmission was smoother; just wondering why Honda didnt use continuos variable transmission (CVT) in the civics Hope to hear some comments from other Asian owners of the same kind... I'm from Philippines as well. Just test drived the 8th Generation Civic (Model S A/T) as well. One of my complaints is the steering wheel feels heavy. The other is the transmission feels jerky when shifting. May be its just the test unit. Does anybody experience the same?
