this is an awesome write-up.
does anyone with built motors have any insight on how the block holds up to it? any caveats from refreshing the factory setup? the only reason i ask this is because i know some other motors start to take oil once they are opened up (subis, but that's because of the boxer sitting sideways). |

Wow thanks for the write up. strate loss is awesome, My first car was an 8th and since then ive had a crx, and now a type s, and everytime I always find helpful info here. 8th comunity is great.
I dropped a valve yesterday and today i did the tear down process and this helped a lot. Now that I need a new block and head, I am thinking k24 block k20 head. Do you have another thread on that? what would you suggest.

you can check my 2.4l build, only thing you should do different is NOT plasti-gauge the bearings for extra safety and make sure you torque to 55ft lbs(rod) and not more/less. arp spec sheet is difficult to understand regarding tq figures.
