well i dont know how big you guys are on coming here, but on the 5th of july the "driven to perform" show is going to be here, its a saturday 1-9 pm. you guys could trek down here. lol.

other wise maybe another weekend might work. i can only for see the 12 of us all ripping to brandon. lol

on a side note, while waiting to get my redline shift boot, wont be here for a while since the hungarian postal service is on strike, lol, i decided to grab an old type r oem replica knob, and throw some black paint on it, with a shortened EX boot. cant decide if i like the black or just straight aluminum etched gearing on it.

I'll be in my black Si, if there is room beside me in the pit lane grab it.
I'll look for you. So preping my car consists of checking tire pressures and? I'm all stock except some lowering springs and camber kits. Just had an alignment a couple weeks ago and fresh oil and tranny fluid last weekend.

Hey shawn-o, did you buy a set yet? I noticed Robear Reacing has them on ebay for $91 + shipping. They are a 8th civic sponsor, so I'm sure they are the correct emblems.

Nah,

I decided to stay with the stock emblems for alittle while. I dont know if the red on red will be too much or not.

yea that is correct. 35 is legal on back and 50 is legal for the front.
mine is 35% all the way around as well

so anyways they told me to take the tint off within 30 days. if i get pulled over again for it, they will rip the tint off and give me a ticket.
im not taking it off though. funny though... cause my sunfire had 15% all the way around and i never got pulled over.
but the guy said (when i got my windows tinted) that since the window is not wide... they will look darker.

That's the one thing I'm worried about. My wife has a tendancy to follow 2 feet behind loaded gravel trucks. On a NHBP car you see the stone chips. Anyone try that clear vinyl film on the hood and grill? That seems to be where the most stone chips are, not a mark on the bumper skin itself.

i had that stuff on my integra years back, and it worked great. the only thing is, the stuff that i got slowly started to fade, the actual vinyl did. not the paint. it kind of got dark on the edge, kind of a brownish color. but i think that some of the newer products would be better. plus it was on a silver car, so it was more noticeable. on black im sure you would be ok.

personally for me it wouldnt matter if it was either brandon or winnipeg brandon was an idea as it would be a shorter trip for us. but if there would be a bigger turnout in winnipeg that would be fine. i was thinking july 19 or 20 we could do a whole weekend thing.

if people are willing to drive to winnipeg, we should do it in conjunction with this meet:

WinnipegHeights.com - | Honda & Acura BBQ |

Its still in planning stages, but it would be cool to see a bunch of 8th gens there!

anyone recommend a hotel that is on the cheaper side preferably western side of winnipeg or a good place to go camping close to winnipeg.

I noticed I have a little uneven wear on my bacak tires. On the inside.
Anyone else have this problem? I believe it is from the cambers needing adjusting and an alignment. Guess i'll get it checked out.

theres a motel on portage, almost right across from mcdougall auto on portage, when you first enter the city. its a motel, pretty cheap rates, but a motel.

your best bet would be the assiniboine motor inn, with "the A" bar attached to it. its west potage, and probably the best deal you are gonna get without being a shithole.

I'm 100% up for that since I live in Brandon, I can even pick the best place to meet and route to cruise if everyone is up for it.

Sadly we aren't going to be there, the weather is just going to be too bad to justify driving in for a mediocre wet track. There is going to be another one on the 28th so I hope the weather is better for it. Sorry.
