August 4 SCC - Calgary @ Race City

Prior to this, July 28th, a couple of us from Edmonton, were gonna meet up with some Calgary 8thgen owners, this has now been moved to August 4 instead - as mentioned by 0oE

Street Car Challenge Calgary August 4th Race City

Entering its fifth season, Street Car Challenge (SCC) is first and only event that combines Drag racing, Autocross, and Drifting motorsports. In addition, at each SCC, you will also see cars competing in a showoff and exhibitors displaying the latest in products and services.

Spectator Hours 12PM-6PM
Competitor Gate 10AM-12PM (No preregistation required)
Admission:
Race/AutoX $45
Showoff $30
Spectator $15

are you guys talking about putting your car in the show or just going to the show to watch and look?

My cars pretty much stock unless i get my springs in time. If i dont get my springs i probably wont put my car in the show, but i will definitly go to watch.

well i'm pretty sure my car is going to be in the show now because i ordered my springs today and they are being installed the day before the show. So if you see a NHBP 07 Ex Coupe at the show say hello.... i've never seen any other 8th Gen civic's at the shows here so i'll probably be the only one.

just go to a carwash when you get here and clean the front up. I need to get some 8thCivic decals to put on my car... i sure dont have any.

i think i'm just going to tape up my front bumper with blue tape lol Saw it on t.v where a bunch of guys with expensive paint jobs would do a blue tape run to a different city- the blue bodymans tape- seems too leave no residue we should do that at least are asses are soo workd up because of cleaning all the bugs haha.... i'm bring my whole cleaning supplies, where can i get water to fill up a bucket?

I'm just going to take the slow backroads as much as possible and what bug do squash on the front, i'll just remove when I get there with some Quick Detailer and a cloth.

Taping up the front end is just so much work.

well my car is in the shop getting lowered the friday before the show so i'm going to be getting up early to detail it saturday morning before i head to the show. but we should all meet at the show somewhere so we can cruise around when the show is done. Maybe we could meet around my car at the show and talk there? NHBP ex coupe riding on Black Slipstreams....ya stealth.
