yeah I did it myself.. I've been taking it on and off like so many times, it's cake.

There's nothing that can go wrong haha.. BUT
I've had so many problems with mine. The first time, I was using different bolts to install it and the tips broke inside and I had to get it cut out and re-fiberglassed.. that took 2 weeks and $150. If you look at the first picture it's raised and since it's so light it swings up hard when you open it and eventually it just gave and broke. It's been at the bodyshop since.. I dunno how much that's gonna cost me.

what do you guys do and use for oil changes?

I want to do my own changes using Genuine honda filter and AMSOIL 5w30 since the oil life monitor sucks ass anyway.

I have never owned a car with warranty so I dont really know if it has to go to the dealer or not ( do they record change intervals under the vin #) for oil changes.

and doing the oil change potentially might help with my smoking problem, as the previous owner i think used 5w40 in the summer, which to me seems stupid to run what isnt recommended on a stock engine

I use Royal Purple 5w20 (R18) and K&N oil filter.

With your warranty, you are able to take it wherever you please as long as you get a print out each time and a list of what was done. It should abide to what Honda would normally do.
Like I said, I do it with my uncle and he just does whatever I say needs to be done and prints it out. Keep them for your records for the future in case you sell the care or get in trouble with Honda so you can show that you've been caring for it on your own.

so if i do it myself, esentially just keep the receipts and write out essentially a service record on what was done and what was used?

Maybe if you had that jays racing wing on it, it might not pop up as fast (it would add that extra bit of weight), also did you have problems with water leaks?

Matt, I'm not too sure about what you'd do if you do it yourself. I would guess you'd keep receipts of the oil/filter or whatever you bought and keep a log. But that still doesn't prove much.

You should check beyond for that.

Adnan, I got the trunk at a good price. $480 I believe.. however, now it's like almost $700 or something.
the J's wing is like $1300 hahahahaha, I'm starting to slow down with the car.

for all my major maintenence it will be going to the dealer, but why pay them 50 bucks + parts for an oil change when i can do it in my garage for just parts and 30 mins of work

lol

My guess is that he gleefully rolls around in piles of money all day, and then somehow this process makes more money out of the existing pile of rolled on money.

The theory is solid but I just can not seem to get it to work over here!

Im a production specialist. I don't make much, just dumb with my money. And my cars aren't really expensive cars. Beyond has ballers, I'm poor compared to them.
It's actually 4 vehicles
I just don't like to mention the 4th one because it sucks.

hoanger what kind of camera and lens do you have? My friend that I work with has a kick ass camera, his is the Nikon D300 with like a $3000 lens, some of the picture he takes are amazing, he also does HDR stuff. Im getting him to take some pics of my car, hopefully he can take some before the white stuff roles in.
