Yup, you are right, I got confirmation of this from one of the glass places I contacted. So far my prices range from $618.00 PPG installed to $875.00 unknown brand installed.

I was lucky enough to fix the dent in my hood myself, as I was able to remove the liner and push the dent back out. I removed over 90% of it without cracking or damaging the paint. Now all I need to do is color sand and buff the touched up spot and the damage will be pretty much gone.

I think I may just go with a window repair and look at the broken place for a while, as I really don't want to part with the $600 and I don't want to file an insurance claim for such small break.

I know that as soon as I replace the dang windshield, it will get broken again. That is is what happen on my last two vehicles. I guess this is what I get for living within 25 miles of a rock quarry. So far I had been pretty lucky as several rocks have hit my windshield. I think that the extreme angle of the glass deflected those rocks without causing any major damage.
