I don't know if I would call it a "snapping" noise, just because I associate that word with bad things happening
I do know what you mean though, I would refer to it more as a click click, just a really solid shift feel and a more definite starting and stopping point of the shift.
Regardless of how you describe the sound effect, I'm sure you'll love the new sound and how it feels
