yes, i've seen cars come off the trucks with unpainted body panels because they were damaged during delivery on the boat or something and need to get painted. I've also driven cars on the lot where the transmission failed to go into gear at 2 miles on the odometer. You'd be suprised at what you see when you work in the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) department.
