Theoretically, salty roads could be to blame, but given Honda's history, I would sincerely hope not. The only suspension mod that would cause increased stress in that mount would be the swaybar, and I guarantee that's why it happened...and that's why I'm putting this info out, so that people who have the swaybar can watch for this, and people thinking about getting one can make a more informed choice :)
