Mine takes a second to start also. I don't think this is a problem. I believe it is supposed to do this, it reduces emissions somehow. I know there was a big thread on acurazine about this on 3rd gen TL's and it was looked into VERY well and proven that it was true, and wasn't just a coverup by honda. I wouldn't be concerned unless it won't start at all.
