Thanks a lot for the info.
I wasn't sure if one should have at
least the minimum amp fuse and anything above that will be "okay" (if that makes sense...example: If the lowbeam needs a 10amp, a 15, 20, 25 amp'll do...that being said, I don't know much about electrical stuff that's why I just supplied the coffee and aimed the flashlight while my buddy installed 'em). Another example is getting Z-rated tires for my civic...they'll do 117mph no problem but they're capable to handle more y'know? - - odd example I know
He may've used 20amp fuses as the 2 cars he's put HID conversion kits are an '02 Protege5 and a '97 Lexus ES300 (possibly older setups electrically or possibly don't have the safety sort of things that the '06/'07 Civics have) *shrug*
QUESTION: It was suggested by a few friends (one has a HID conversion and one has stock headlamps) not to flick your HIDs on and off and then on and then off in quick succession ...to show somebody how they 'ping' on and off or to admire them in the reflection of glass (that sorta stuff). Can you damage something by turning it on and off more than a "reasonable" # of times??
