There should be ONE THREAD to make sure that members that placed orders prior to SCTuned's delisting for them to post and receive feedback on their orders and experiences ala X-Intake.
They are allowed to offer their services, my point is a customer service thread of another (former) sponsor that was trying to hash things out isn't the best place to do it.

I'm talking any pre-problems SCTuned was having. I know NitrousG35 ordered from them a few times and they were perfect. For THAT service, I'd rather just save $10, which is like an hour and 15 mins of me working, while maintaining good service.

Wow... seeing one vendor attack another over a forum... not the way to do it. If you want to take on another vendor, do it through better customer service and competitive pricing to win over customers.

Right Jeremy. I got my Vibrant race header faster than Corsport delivered my Vibrant cat-back. I have done some other small order stuff too and never have had a problem. After I found out that I had paid $490 for my Vibrant cat-back, I found out SCTuned was selling theirs for $420, a $70 difference. Nevertheless, I was pleased with the Corsport service.

When I was ready to order my Vibrant RH w/hafc, Corsport was out of stock. SCTuned had several in stock. I decided to go with them instead of Corsport. Shipping and service were super fast and super communicative.

They had the lowest prices on the forum. This I believe, forced Corsport to begin to lower their prices. Competition is a good thing. For my part, I wish that SCTuned was reinstated here on the forum. I have a good relationship with Carlos at SCTuned and will continue to do business with them.

This thread should be only for those who have had issues with SCTuned. It should not be a place where patronizing goes on. IMHO, SCTuned and Corsport are both good companies.

This is exactly what I mean. Maybe they've had a few hiccups, but I think for the most part it's impatient people. They have always had great prices. $70 difference in exhausts? That's quite substantial.

So maybe they had a few problems. I can't see them treating some customers exceptionally well, and then purposely screwing others over.

+1

I think the majority of us value customer service deeply. How do we become their repeat customers or keep buying from the same place? Because of great service and their way of taking care of the customer. I'm willing to shop at the same place although the price might be a bit higher. It'll give me a peace of mind knowing that I'll get my stuff as promised than buying at a place with slightly cheaper prices and getting repeat bad service.

thats the thing they tell their customers they have this they have that and when it comes down to providing it they come short, "it was shipped out, should be there tomorrow" LOL what a joke. "i'll see you on the track" makes me laugh even harder...better yet "we're working on the NOPI car"

Loooooooooooong story short, lets just say they STILL owe me 1,525.00. Going on almost 3 weeks too. I'm about to contact my CC very soon. Probably already should have.

read his email, he's offering you a refund, or, ANOTHER exhaust - meaning, pick another exhaust, and it'll ship in 2-3. They don't have the greddy

you should do it now - credit cards co.'s have different limitations, most are 45 days, some are 15 or 30. get on it.

you should address it with your cc company if you are still waiting on something for weeks without info, or if he is not refunding you.

Webby, let me know if this needs to be removed but I was asked by the new sales manager of SCTuned to post this up for them since you guys have their user account locked down.

The shop is under new management and I know from first hand experience that things are going in a different direction and very much so for the better. Carlos has always been a good guy to deal with in my personal experience but he does have a temper and that is a major down fall for him. I know that he was too proud to ask for help from others when he was just so busy that things were starting to fall through the cracks. He finally hired a new sales manager and stepped down to let JR run things.

JR is a very hard working, honest, knowledgeable guy who has been in the industry for a long time and he knows how to handle the work load that running a large business takes.

Carlos was wrong in many of the ways that he handled this situation and there is no denying that. Like said before, he has a temper and he definitely bit the hand that fed him. What he has to realize is that no matter what, end the end the customer is always right. I know that JR is a firm believer in this policy and he truly practices it. If you guys waiting on products are refunds please just contact JR directly and he will take care of it. He just started there 2 weeks ago so he does not know exactly what orders are not 100% taken care of yet. Just call him and I guaranty you that with 100% certainty that he will make it right.

Sorry for the rant, I didn't even post up what JR wanted me to post up yet, lol

please see what is posted in the quote below:

Brandon,

Maybe you can shed some light as to why these people on 8thcivic are upset. I would really like to know and as you know from the other smaller issues, I will be sure to make sure they have been addressed accordingly. I tried posting up, but it says that a moderator must approve it. I do not know if possibly you will get into any sort of trouble for posting this, but if so please apologize to "Webby" whom I believe is the Moderator.

Here is what I replied in that topic.

Hello Webby,

Thanks for letting Carlos know you unlocked this thread to let some of the same people get more hits on us. Thankfully enough, there are a bunch of loyal followers that believe in us and our service. While right now we could be talking about the writeup on the AEM Fuel/Ignition controller and how it would be a benefit for the boost Si's we have to talk about case at hand.

Kevin (do not know your screen name here and I do apologize) you were refunded that second portion and I have sent you repeated messages on AIM as you that was how you communicated with me and all of them were sent to your cell phone. While I believe you can see them, it is possible that they are missed, aim has done worse.

VtEc ( Keith ). I personally spoke with a lady (possibly girlfriend, not sure) about your order. While she was very irate and she had every right to be I listened to everything she had to say and told her what would you like us to do because at that point I wanted to close the door on the order and do whatever it took to make you happy. Seeing as though I am personally off tomorrow and Friday, I just took the liberty of sending you a refund for the order less $100 which was our cost on the other parts on that purchase.

I will shed a tad bit of light as to why some vendors can ship quicker at times than we can. Carlos is my boss, however as some of you already know he is not the best customer service person out. I do not agree with some of his ethics and I believe if things were dont differently we would not have the situation at hand.

SCTuned main focus is simple. Do the builds and use that as the marketing advantage. I can easily go to the sponsor marketplace here and see 10 vendors selling the exact same product and roughly the same price. So you are the customer, its simple. Just pick one and proceed from there. With this company from what I gather the marketing was slightly different. They (sctuned) wanted to hit you with a different approach which was showing you the parts so that you would get a hands on feel about it. In essence, it is quite simple. When you go to a hardware store and ask for a product you, the customer expect that since that person works there they know about the product they are selling you or that they will minimum guide you in the right direction of what you are trying to do. Well, SCtuned tried the same thing by doing the installs to get some marketing power that way.

While that scenario does work, it creates a loophole that everyone here is now aware of. Wasted time on car instead of on the phones making things happen for the customer. End of the day, that is all that matters, the customers satisfaction. Without that, no business is going anywhere.

The second main thing here has always been inventory from day one. I dont care who thinks otherwise (and I am sure he would love the bragging, but I am not one for it) SCTuned does stock alot of product. Not just for Si's, but for a variety of vehicles. They have a nice sized local market that I am learning and have a loyal following amongst what some would call horrible here. They do not just order one vibrant exhaust, its usually about 10. With that comes deeper discounting for them and better savings for the customer. Same thing with Greddy for example. Bigger order, slightly better discount and discounted freight. It works with that for alot of the larger sized mfg's out.

Now, while I do 110% agree with Webby's decision to remove SCTuned I do think it was a little unfair to do things without warning. Carlos told me that one day they were a vendor, next day they werent. As I just harshly found out, this account can't even send pm's because Vendors (possibly corsport, not pointing fingers, leave that to sex and the city) were complaining of SCTuned's posting in threads selling a part or advertising of some sort. That could have easily been fixed by a simple, stop doing this or etc.

This Corsport VS Sctuned thing is really for lack of a better word stupid. Corsport is on the other side of the united states and focus on customer service, simple builds (correct me if I am wrong) and maintaining a good price. The cheaper price, is not always better and I have a huge problem with customer that think so. The $10 as someone pointed out is always worth the service. If you let $10 distinguish buying from a reputable vendor such as Corsport and choose the $10 lesser and purchase from a Ebay etc not only do I consider that horrible it also shows the 8thcivic community that the dedication to support its paying vendors is lacking. I am sure Webby's 8thcivic.com is not free and that the vendors help him pay for the site. Why not support the people who help you out?

SCTuned is not better than Corsport. Corsport is no better than SCTuned. Both have taken stabs at each other and I have first hand read just about every piece of it, that is my job.

In the past 2 weeks of employment, I have situated about 19 orders that were past due, arranged $15,000 of refund for deposits on a product line that this company had the harsh reality of dealing with that went sour and brought a bit of the spunk back to a company that really just outgrew themselves. The Ego here is way to high and I had to make sure that not only Carlos, but the rest of the people in house realize that. At one point or another, every single one of us was identical to you. Sitting home on a web board, getting some ideas for the new car we just picked up.

Sorry for the High School Essay, but I wanted to voice my opinions on the situation. Should anybody have any current issues and would like to get them resolved, always feel free to call me directly at 888-290-3201 ext 704. My mailbox is available from 9am to 6pm EST while I am at work and then again from 6:30 pm to 9:30PM EST. IF calling during the later shift, please be sure to be patient if I do not answer right away as I work a part time at night.

I apologize for any troubles anyone has had on here. For those of you that speak highly of SCTuned, it is also greatly appreciated and we will continue to move forward to support you.
