either way, you shouldve handled it "better" regaurdless of how JDM treated you. the way youre handling this really makes you seem immature. and give up the rock kicking thing. please its not helping your case. I know youve got so many friends up there in the NE but to people elsewhere, like trogers8 and well, myself, you seem like a douche. and again thats your fault because of how your handling things (putting things off, being unclear, etc...).

we know you shipped it (even thought there is no solid proof) and we know you have the right to do as you wish with your money, going and buying those coilovers. but we can't help the fact that you look like the tyrant after he receives no springs and youre on your second set. and we know your a broke college student and so am i, so i feel you.

The fact is that you have NO hard proof of shipping the springs which is your fault. So, if your a MAN, cut the deal short with your friend, compensate him for ending the deal, cut your losses, and send JDM his springs back like webby said. it doesnt matter what names he called you, leave him looking like a child instead of it being both of you.

Kurt, call your bank and ask for the transaction number on your debit card. They will give it to you. Then, on your break, go to that post office and ask the attendant to reprint the reciept with the account number. They don't save last names or addresses but rather zip codes. If they still can't do anything because most of them are morons who didn't even finish junior high school, then write down the zipcode of the OP. Then, ask the attendant to see which items were sent to that zipcode. There shouldn't be many. Then, ask for the price of shipping for such items sent to that zipcode. If one of them matches yours, then ask them kindly to reprint that reciept. Then, mail out the reciept and $50 bucks(take a picture first) to the OP. After that, upload those pictures here and post them. That way, people will stop speculating.
I already spoke to the PO he said he shipped them from today. They can't look it up either way. I spoke to the manager who was working this morning about the entire situation and the zip code, the buyers zip, the previous transaction on the credit card - nothing. I have the full mailing info of the OP and they said it not one piece of it will do a thing.

yeah well see that just fit into my budget that i have planned i know what you mean and in all you are so right..but the money from the springs is my spending money for the next two weeks so that just cant work....buying the coils is putting me in a tough spot so either he will have to wait till i get paid even then im only gonna send 50$ that as far as im willing to go and it is more then fair

to think you were getting mad about him taking 2-3 weeks, how do you think he feels waiting months? if you did send them you should have saved everything. just return him his springs, and call it even?

i don't understand if he has done business before with numerous of people on this site and haven't done something like this before, plus he has a bunch of people that know him personally that says he wouldn't do something like this why so much doubt? why would he start something like this now? say he does return the springs then jdm gets his springs what happens then? do you think after this big fuss already that he would say he got them? who knows if he got them and just staying quiet because he would look like a ass after all this. I think kurt sent them out i grew up with him we went to school since 6th grade and now we are 20 he has never done this before...i understand the OP position also and i feel bad for him but it was a trade + cash if kurt sent the cash why wouldn't he send the springs also? why would he keep the springs if he didn't like them and wanted to trade them in the 1st place?.. anyways just my 2 cents.

Regardless of what HIS friends say bout him, and how honest he is. I STILL DONT HAVE MY SPRINGS. and no proof that he sent them. if i do recieve the springs i will send them back to the return address thats no problem... im already out money for just shipping him my springs so all in all i didnt get crap out of this deal.. as for galaxy sending money hes gonna need to do a little better than 50 bucks... unless he can find me someone who can sell me springs for that much thats not gonna cut it...

I hate getting into stuff like this, but from what I've read...GALAXY, man, you can't prove a thing that you're claiming.

Usually if you do business involving shipping an item, you get a delivery confirmation in addition to shipping, it's an extra $2 or so tops. You do this so the person buying can't take delivery and say they never got them...if you have a receipt or delivery confirmation, you can prove they're wrong and not be liable for anythiing.

It's not your fault if USPS or whoever shipped them lost the item, but it's not JDM's fault either.

JDM sent payment first on good faith that you'd ship things out to him promptly, and it seems that you didn't even attempt to ship them out to him in a timely manner in the first place. I'm not calling you a liar or anything, maybe they actually did get lost in shipping, but you should have at the very least kept the receipt until you heard back from JDM saying he got the springs. That's called an insurance policy, just in case something like this happens, you can show him and USPS the receipt, and get things worked out.

You don't have a receipt, didn't get a shipping confirmation, and won't reimburse the man? Maybe the coilovers should wait for an extra week and you should pay JDM back to make things right if you're such the stand up guy you say you are.

$0.02 from an independant 3rd party that knows neither of you guys. Work it out, try to keep a good name for the 8th community.

I agree 100%. This is what should happen if you are a man of your word. It really is your fault that you don't have shipping proof. Man up!

This is never going to get resolved. I am up for donating some money toward the purchase of springs for JDM06si.

Anyone in with me?

well apprently you don't know what is right.
you have nothing to back up what you said you have done.
it could be your friend want that spring, you "traded" the springs, sold it to your friend, sell you current springs, and buy new coilovers with all the money that u just made.

so i trade something with you, i got ur item, and i "shipped" my item to you with no proof and the transaction is over, and your item is mine?

thats BS from the manager. You shouldve never told him about what happened otherwise they'd be found liable for the whole situation. They keep track of items they shipped for up to a year, tracking number for up to 3 months and insurance to up to a month. That's how the main supervisor will keep track of the money. Otherwise, they would steal money away from usps cashier. But since you told them the package was lost, they won't give you any details. Otherwise, they will have to pay for mishandling of packages at their location and fine the individuals/usps facility. Obviously, they pull crap like this when people pay cash since they won't have proof of reciept in case they threw away the reciept. You just got to tell them you need the reciept reprinted for business purposes.
