I know it is possible, I see many people do it, but it wont allow me to post quotes in my signature.

It's been disabled.

Why?

Because there were too many quotes being used, abused (as with everything else) so Webby decided to disable this feature.

Those with the quotes will loose them when they change their sigs.

So why does it not affect everyone? There were peopl in the thread adding quotes to thier sig and it worked for them.

They may be using a work around.
They may already have the code in their sigs, and it doesn't affect them yet.
I know, sucks that it seems like some people have more privi than others.

Ask Webby , I know if you point something out, he will look into it, and he appreciates anyone finding errors in the code to help him find issues that he can sometimes overlooks.

It can point to security issues too.

One option would be to snap a screenshot and then cut and paste the quote into a new image and then add the image to your signature.
