Question For Sale Threads??

Dude!! WTF is up with people posting up for sale threads and never responding to members after the initial post? Or not updating the post? This is really F***ing annoying... I see something FS and i get all exited to possibly buy the item and the op never responds or its been sold and they dont tell anyone... This isnt pertaining to anyone in particular, its just an overall observation..

We really rely on the sellers/buyers to update their threads. If it's been sold, or done, we close or change the title out.

i think editing titles in the FS section should be allowed, then you could edit it yourself to say sold, ive seen quite a few FS threads and was gonna inquire about buying it til i scroll down and see that its been sold already and not closed.

when someone edits there post or posts subsequently that its been sold the thread is closed. We can't read ppl's minds, so if I close a thread let say that the op hasn't posted in for a day or two and then comes back and says he lost a sale because someone else had a similar thread and his was closed then we'll have a problem.

Its easiest if someone just reports it sold and a moderator can close it.

i think it should be closed after a few days if the op doesnt bump it or anything. If that person is really trying to sell something then they should look at it everyday to see if someone wants it. If they dont close it so other people arent waisting their time waiting for the op
