search function question

actually more of a rant. why on a "civic" forum can't i search for "LX" or "SI" or "EX"??????? i know i know i know.......... three letter minimum right? well that is the stoopidest thing ever! i'll put money down that EVERYONE would like to search for SI or EX or LX...............

just out of curiosity, why would you want to? can you imagine how many hits you would get back? It would be like searching for the word "the." you wouldn't get anything useful back, but you would get a LOT of hits.

Hmm. I just searched for "EX," it let me. I got five hundred hits.

when i search for si it says this:

If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.

im trying to search for info on specific parts like the si wing or lx factory sound system.
or dx stereo harness. but it wont let me

FG2 - Si
FG1 - Non Si coupe
FA1 - Non Si Sedan
FA5 - Si Sedan

Why not use the search terms "si wing" or "lx sound system" or "dx stereo"? I'm pretty sure that if you searched the term "si" you would come up with a lot of random threads that contain no information of value to you..

The search index has to be reindexed. It will allow the search after it's updated, hopefully tonight.

there are a few words it will omit, but it will take model trim letters and more now. It's working
