You think paypal is that safe? If you were to buy something from me and i send you an empty box, i win because you "received something." That was how i was scammed on honda-tech. Someone sent me parts for an integra that i didnt even ask for, and i filed a dispute, and he won because they dont cover the quality of the products

Meh, it's the safest way for the most part. Of course, I only use it on eBay and I've never had an issue. But than again, when I had issues, I always won. And I've received an empty box before. I still won. No idea why they took my side, but maybe it was my eBay feedback and PayPal seller profile.

Hmm..I've sold an $800 camera on another car forum and a $500 exhaust on this one. I've usually used paypal for out of state and the exhaust one I did in person. When I got the paypal payment I immediately headed out to FedEx to ship the stuff and gave the guy the tracking #, you'll know right off it its a scam by the weight of the package by the tracking #. The camera and stuff was over 10 lbs and of course and exhaust will weigh more. I never buy from anyone that has less than 300-500 posts anyways.

Something in that case will warrant a visit from me in person.

I got a PM from Billy today (Itsgoatee). He said he just got back from Japan (He told me before hand that he was going) and apologized for the situation, explained what happened with the last two checks and why I he couldn't be reached. He said that he personally put another check in the mail. Should I get the check in the next few days I will let you guys know. I would like to think that this was all just accident and that his name will be restored in short time.

I hope it all works out for you JMorris but he never should have purchased an item without intending to pay promptly. From your dialog I read it sounds like he has been making excuse after excuse from the very beginning.

I got the check on Sat guys. I will be deposited today. The check was in the amount of $95 and we had agreed upon $90. Once it clears all is well in my book, an honest mistake dispite the delays. Webby feel free to close the thread or wait until I post that it clears up to you.

thanks for updating users. If you'd like - you could update post 1, so users don't think this is still going on.

nice to see you got the check. I want to pitch in about paypal though. If you are going to make a large transaction through paypal make sure the money goes to your bank account before you send anything. I sold something on ebay a while back and received a payment so i sent the package out that same day. A few days later i found out that the payment was from a stolen credit card and paypal took the money back. Now i am out the product and the money. I would recommend that or only accepting money deposited directly from their bank account into paypal
