new post filter

Is there a way NOT to include the VIP Delete area in the 'new posts' selection?

I am tired of getting pages of USELESS crap on may screen from the VIP area, the easiest way is not to stay VIP, which is no problem, but I would rather support the board and not do that.

when you do a search - you can click forums you'd like it to search from. Do not include vip areas in the search if you don't want to see any of those results.

that would be on the advanced search -

search in forum(s) - do not click vip areas

I'm confused - if you click search on the menu bar / the bottom of it says advanced search. That is what you click to search only specific forums

Is there a way to block this section completely - where it doesn't show up on an individual's login - if they choose this option? (similar to the option used to block signatures)

child forums - if you clicked not to view vip, it wouldn't show delete area, dating, etc. The subforums - child.

as for NEW posts, that's a different thing. I thought you were just wanting to search non vip areas.

it would be a group wide thing to not show vip posts when you click new posts. I can't set it per individual. It shows those forums since you have access to them.

Yeah, no probs.. feel free to lock this thread *grins*

I like being difficult... muuuuhahahaahaaaa

Too bad vbulletin didn't have it a user prefs level, where you could set the 'new posts' search criteria, or it uses what you selected as an advance search (or advance search had a radio where it said, 'use as default search' and tie that to the 'new posts' button...

Thanks again. mmmm... went to the Lindt Factory Outlet, bought a crap load of cheap Lindt chocolate.. yummy...
