the mods have responded with VERY valid arguments of why it was close and i agree...i dont think you're understanding their point of view...you may want to read their posts again and look at it in their position as moderators of this site and not just yours.

all you keep repeating over and over again is its a sanctioned air site...well great...but its still not a legal airstrip (with lights, timing, etc) and thats something you dont understand that theyve explained numerous times.

in my opinion..this thread should be over and done with and u should just accept it. once ur uncle has it legitimized as a drag strip, then thats when you're more than welcome to post your times and speed. again...thats wat they explained to you earlier in their posts.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....If you don't want your post deleted, locked, etc. type it once, read it twice, and re-type in a manner that it complies with the rules of the forum. Like it or not, this site is not a right but a privilege and as such, you are obligated to go by their rules and regulations. I personally love this site and the fact they keep all the bs race stories out of it. Not like some other sites on the net that every other post has something to do with drag racing/street racing and close calls...

we used to use an old air strip for test runs when i worked at the shop back home. it was flat, open and smooth. and nobody cared because it was out of site and out of mind

I wasnt trying to make the situation worse, just trying to make sense of it, and you have made your points and they're valid and understood. my wording was bad. Did you read this thread at all? I understand their point of view and made it known. It IS a legal strip. Its just not set up for drag YET, it will be by this summer, SOOOOOO..... I wanst drag racing anyone on this strip. I was doing what I am legally allowed to do, run my car out to the top, BY MYSELF. Is it a legitimized drag strip?? NO did I say I was drag racing, NO. I REALLY hope this thread doesn't get locked because someone spoke up against the mods on this site. It also shouldn't be locked because everybody got their point across. There have been many threads that I have made where everyone got their point across w/o it being locked. This thread should be left alone. After all, no one is being disrespectful to the mods...

I can understand the idea of just reopening the thread with the "problem wording" taken out, but the concern with that is that others will never understand and learn the forum rules.

ohya i read this whole thread. i never said you were drag racing. yes you are legally allowed to do it....being it a legal top speed strip (supposedly). it looks like you understand its not a legal drag strip, but it seems like you dont understand that you cant post anything up on here unless it is a legal drag strip. whats so hard to understand. it doesnt matter if cops & paramedics are at your uncles strip.....its still not a legitimizes drag strip....how many times do i have to say it. the mods are trying to prevent people from reading ur posts cuz they dont want to be responsible if someone accidentally dies at ur uncles strip for testing their top speed and testing their limiter...they dont want to have to regret NOT locking ur thread so that accident could have been prevented. are you gonna take responsibility if someone accidentaly dies at your uncles strip after that person read ur post? of course not....cuz u werent driving....u only posted ur top speed.
