I don't know about that! How many pedestrians do you think are in danger by him racing at his uncle's place?

Thank you! no one is in danger and all guidelines are enforced. It is being prepped for Drag set-up for both 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile runs! all proper procedures are installed for driver safety and spectator safety. What more is he supposed to have?

^maybe he should apply for a permit to be a licensed drag strip.

and im sure they would require a few changes to his "guidelines"...therefor not exactly making his rules/track quality the same as a registered drag strip.

Hes got the permit for top speed runs, and makes drivers sign wavers and release forms prior to their run. He is going to get the permit for drag racing once the strips are finished being prepped. Then I will be all the time and posting times and such

The same amount that are on a section of highway where all the exits are blocked off by your friends. You can NEVER have everything under control.

Unsanctioned = Illegal... sorry, but theres no 'grey area' on that one.

Is that not safe? It's illegal...but are there going to be pedestirans/regular drivers present?

please read my posts, nothing unsafe, this isnt any fast and furious BS man. This is under just as much control as any other sanctioned drag strip. sorry but these comments are best saved for posts refering to street racing. Not to mention its completely legal, he has permit for this airfield

IMO the 8th is very against illegal racing and items which would encourage it...by stating your top speed (even though it may be done "legally") you are in a way encouraging other people to speak up with there not so legal ts runs...

Judging from the previous thread that got locked, the mod would've been better off simply deleting the ONE post Si2Typ3R made referring to running his car down the airfield rather than locking the entire thread. Totally unecessary IMO.

Top Gear does top speed runs on airstrips as well... should be ban any reference to that show?

Only the Mod who locked my thread the second time around. He referenced some thread where ppl died doing what I was supposedly doing, but he was illinformed and has yet to show face or justify himself in this thread... Where are the Mods at anyway???? none posted so far. no warnings or justification for locking my threads

I can see how that might happen, but my original thread was not about top speed, it was about the governor that cuts fuel supply before hitting VTEC in 6th gear and how to remedy it. Hence why I am frustrated lol

Exactly. I tried to reword myself but used a reference to help other viewers understand what I experienced. I was in no way encouraging drivers to do this on the street

Which they can prove that there are paramedics on hand and that all safety precautions are in place.

... Then we have joe-blow forum poster (in this case, Si2Typ3R), who says 'my uncle has an airstrip and has permits and makes things safe'.

Why should anyone believe him?

Thats no different than me posting that ... I went to my cousins house in the woods and he built a drag strip. I ran a 14.3 1/4 in my stock Si. It was 100% safe and legal.
_________

Im not saying I dont believe the OP. Im sure his uncle DOES have the airstip and necessary permits. But its easy to see why a random posting such as that would get closed down. Its not proved to be a sanctioned race area.
