We love our DIY's more than anything here!

I really do appreciate the compliment but I assure you that the other mods here do a whole lot more work than I do for the site. I've said it a few times and I'll say it again, it's incredible the amount of work that goes into keeping this site running well and without the rampant b/s that it found on some other forums. This isn't just a forum it's a community for most of us, and you can give credit for that to all of the other mods. They deserve your respect a lot more than I do, trust me.

As for the DIY thread thing goes, just let us know the next time that you're creating one and we'll help you out.

BTW, switch to red stripe.. It's the kind of beer that after a 12 pack makes you rant about fun things, and fun things mean good times.

I dunno man, that is arguable. Crabs and Sexual Hugs give DIY's a run for their money.

Oh, you mean stuff that is just actually on the forums...

Man, I am seriously amazed at how wonderful your taste in beer really is. I'm glad that 07mugencivic and I see eye to eye on the fact that your taste in beer (as well as women and general lifestyle activities) is so much better than ours. You should probably open a school just to teach people how to have such awesome taste in everything.

I don't want to sound weird, but you are just pure win
fixed.

I tried to post a simple DIY but i have "insufficient privileges" but mods are able to post empty threads showing us what "will be coming" i only ask that everybody be held to the same standard. ]Just as Jameslewis and IMauthentic were bashed for making claims without pics/vids, mods should be held accountable for BS posts like " X intake DIY + Install vids! <Quietly waits for this thread or myself to get locked out>
I don't even know where to start with what you're addressing. If someone were to make a do-it-yourself thread explaining how to remove and install a new intake in just plain text, then you're right, I wouldn't move it to the right forum. It's not helpful at all to have a final version of a write up with no pictures, especially for an intake or anything technical for that matter. Where I'm getting at is whether or not you had intentions to include pictures or videos originally. If you wrote something up and mentioned in there that you would be including pictures and videos at a later date (after they're uploaded), then the thread will most likely moved to the right forum afterwards

I don't see how you're comparing jameslewis178's and ImAuthenticFTW's post to CaliGuy's. They posted claims of getting <14.1 seconds on the 1/4 mile. Of course people are going to want to see proof. The average amount of people on these boards aren't very likely to get those numbers, especially 13.1 seconds. CaliGuy posted up a thread that he is uploading his 700 megabyte videos onto YouTube explaining how to install an intake. Kind of comparing apples to oranges there, no?

I guess the bottom line is, I don't see how in any way what CaliGuy did was classified as abusing his powers. I guess it's just a little misleading for us since we don't know what's coming. He does. So instead of creating it in the general forum, he posted it in the main forum because it'd probably end up anyways. Nonetheless, I'm assuming he used his best judgment. I mean guessing from this, it's no hoax -- http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/bolt-...s-install.html

Lookin' forward to your reply.
