An idea..

So i see allot of chat threads have been closed in the area forum..So i have some few ideas..I ran a few forums, and this seems to have worked good. Instead of just having Midwest and all the other states, you have local sub forums. for example
MIDWEST
  • Illinois
  • Wisconsin
  • ETC

So everything is more organized. you get all the IL people one place, all the MI people one place. And that said, brings me to my next point:

In theses threads we have a LOCAL FOR SALE forum. Were you ONLY post stuff for LOCAL pick up. But we still have the global shipping/shopping area. So it would look like this:

MIDWEST
  • Illinois
    • Local For Sale/Trade
  • Wisconsin
    • Local For Sale/Trade
  • ETC
    • Local For Sale/Trade

Now to further keep everything inline, you have a few people that live in that state to Moderate there own forum. ( for example, i am NOT implying anything) I would run the show for the IL people. We would have a public poll for each state so there is NO Favoritisms Between the Admins/Mods.

Now Admins, you're going to say "But we already have to many sub forums, and we add more we will overload the SQL base, and the sever." Not true. I know some forums who have ALLOT more posts, members, forums, and traffic. and its still up and running fine.

To me this would organize more things. Keep more people happy. Less locking of threads. and the forum rules still do apply.

Don't put the MI people in one thread... we're under populated enough as it is. If you segregate us, we'd just whither away and die. At least how it's set up now, someone from another state might stop by a thread to see what's up.

http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/il ?

its not webby's intention to let the site become an ebay etc - too much potential for problems - i guess if your looking for local sales, try craigslist or kijiji, but keep a grain of salt in your mouth!

...I'm not saying for an ebay auction..I'm saying just so each state has a place to chat..since pretty much all of the other threads are getting deleted..it would orginize stuff..
