Can no longer edit a post

Good afternoon, Moderators, admins, and other sundry creatures of ill-repute.

I've been using the first post in the BMW 1-Series thread to keep all the info in one spot so folks do not have to read the ENTIRE 60 pages of the thread to find the info that they want.

Just a few minutes ago, however, I have found I can no longer edit the post.

Is there a time limit was exceeded for editing? A bug? Or is one of you evil yellow puppet people playing a joke on me?

Official BMW 1-Series Thread (Merged)

Can I be a single thread moderator? Heh.

Probably to make people think more before they hit the "Post" button, rather than letting them rant when they are upset, going to make a sandwich/watching TV, and then coming back to edit it because they realized what a douche they sounded like.

That's just my guess, at least, probably to lessen the problems by making people have to think twice before hitting POST.

I've had to edit posts because I posted wrong info so I went back & edited it correct. I understand about members running their mouths.

I think Jason meant 1 day. We have done this due to the fact that members who want their account/user name deleted cannot go back to all the threads they had started and edit them.

How can we change or add information to our DiY's or Stickies? Everytime we want to do an update we have to contact a MOD? Even if it is alot of information?

For example I have alot more information and pictures to add to this and it will be near impossible to do if I have to contact a mod to do it

Front Spring/Damper Removal/Install

I agree with a few posts here. I really just want to keep 'master threads' up to date so folks do not have to dig through 50 pages of discussion to pull up the pertinent facts.

I can always repost the entire list each and every time I post...but that would get old really fast, for just about everyone.

Any way around this restriction? It really kills keeping master threads up to date and usable.

I agree.

Oh Cameron, I have updates for page 1 of the BMW 1-Series thead....

(Or let me be a Dark Side moderator for the Garage only...yeah, that's the ticket...Evil lurks in the heart of The Garage I can attest that no 'do I have to use premium', 'will my CAI void my warrant', 'hey, tell me about hondata' threads will survive their infancy...heh)
