I think we were just used to the way threads were categorized over at 8thGen. With a bit of practice, we'll be up and running on the boards in no time over here. Great job to Webby and all the mods for linking the two sites together.

The color scheme was a bit more subtle on the 8thGen forums, which I liked. Although the color scheme here is bold and attractive, it's also kinda distracting. The California region board was sub-categorized into Northern and Southern California. It'd be nice if that were the case again here on these boards.

I'm really digging the red gradient bars, how did you manage the gradient with red? I know VB comes with the gradient blue but I couldn't figure out how to get the gradient with any other color?

all of the images were custom done. Just change the path to the images inside the vb admin.

For starters, move the recent threads/posts section on the home page close to the top (move all of that other c**p to the bottom).

on www.8thcivic.com/forums - at the top on the red bar -

user cp / faq / memberlist / calendar / " NEW POSTS" / search / quick links / log out

click NEW POSTS for the most recent posts. That is a much better tool for reading the most recent threads. It will go back further and has more info in it than what is found on the home page.

Seriously. :P I miss being 3rd in the most posts, but I need to cut down on the whoring anyways. I'm going to go be productive with my spare time and read a book or something.

That, or go around recruiting people so I can get my sig back. 34 bucks for sig kind of sucks. Don't take that as an insult, Webby. I know you've got bills to pay

Overall I like the merger but I think there are too many subforums. For instance, I think the Getting Started, All Motor, Getting Faster, and perhaps another one or two could be merged since they're all mechanical topics. Are there really that many differences between coupes and sedans that they need their own forums? I'd think DX/LX/EX, Si and Hybrid and that's it. Just my $.02.
