Lightbulb Constructive criticism

Im noticing more and more, people on this site dont know how to take constructive criticism.
If you post something on here, be it an idea, new mod to your car, anything really, you need to be prepared to have people talk about it. That is the purpose of an internet forum. Not everyone will have the same feelings as you, and you need to be ready to have somebody tell you they dont like it.
if someone doesnt like what your are doing/saying, let it go. Dont lash out on them if they are being honest.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

-rant complete.

I agree 100% -- as long as there are no personal attacks with the criticism.

Agreed. Plus, it saves the mods from having to intervene.

+1. but the criticism needs to be somewhat professional too. no "looks like sh*t f@gg*t" type comments. other than that, yea honest opinions. i am on another forum and the way everyone treats each other drives me insane. its like a constant bash fest.

Agreed!! That would represent a weak constructive criticism anyway. Red Herring!

Constructive criticism ftw. I hate it when people just say your stuff looks terrible without giving any reason... "not feeling it" "looks like shit"...at least say why.

i think it would look better with (insert object) = constructive criticism

that looks like crap LOL = opinion coupled with a personal attack (you are attacking someone else's choice without offering a way to improve upon it in your eyes)

Well I don't know about constructive criticism. I mean, if someone posts whatever and solicits feedback, you have to take the good with the bad. Too many people have a thin skin and either need to learn to take it and deal with it, or stop throwing their whatever around expecting to be all praise and no negatives.
The bottom line with me is that if you ask for my opinion, I'll give and sometimes be brutal about it. But I do stop short of something "That looks like shit you dumb ricer dousche bag!!!"

Ok here is one. I don't like your sig or any .jpg or .gif signatures. It takes up bandwidth and is purposeless. Most people on here have a Civic so matter what you do to it....it ain't gonna be much different than the next guy/gal's ride.
