anyone see anything wrong here at all?

Does anyone remember what happened the last time people abused rep?

If you see anyone asking for rep in a thread for any reason, report the post on the spot. I don't care who they are. If you care about rep staying on 8thcivic you will do this.

If you have someone that reps you like the comments above pm a mod.

But I agree with what your saying. If people just become rep whores, it totally ruins the point of rep. Anyone could just make a thread titled "Rep me" and gain all the rep in the world. But thats just lame. If you say something good, people will notice & rep you without you having to ask.

I'm confused, your rep page although the content seems to be from this site, the format doesn't. How do you get a blue screen and see more then 10 rep comments in the first place? Plus we can't edit or delete rep. If we could then no one would have - reps.

Is this your page? or a mod thing to see all rep?

as a rule if I see someone asking for/offering rep, I edit that out of their post.

I don’t see the importance of rep at all. Take it away or leave it as is this forum is just fine with or without it. What matters or makes a difference with me are the people that post quality information on here regarding our cars or people that post good conversations and I make a mental note of it. Never once have I looked at or acknowledged how many reps a person has for any reason whatsoever.

Furthermore, Happy Friday my friends! Its been a while since I posted on here although I have been lurking around for the past few months.

maybe we need two rep bars - one for normal posts and fun and photochops

and one for car tips and diy's.

Even itrader is kinda pointless. I don't know if its being abused or not but I really don't think theres much control over it. You can prob give ppl itrader rep for nothing, or if they feel guilty, then for buying a keychain or air freshener from someone.

yes ive noticed this happening a lot lately.. and i notice it more when my local people do it.. it annoys the hell out of me. i mean people are giving rep because they made a funny joke or something... and that benefited the site how?... if you post up a good DIY, then i believe you deserve rep, but not in the manner of asking for it. if the people find it useful than give rep. I agree 100% and i will be on rep patrol

all those rep backs look like they are from the same person. they must give out a lot of rep. I don't give out that much rep at all, i still get the must spread rep before giving it to so and so all the time, and I know I havent repped that person in over a month.
