Click "User CP" in the upper left portion of your screen and you can see who left you rep and why (and even click to see which post).

but i still have to agree that funny stuff as well as tech stuff should be martitable. and i have to admit at first when i didnt know anything about the site i did rep people for other things. not for rep back but for other then topic.
