I'll let Webby speak to this more in-depth if he likes, but I believe the decision to include only Civic-related items in our For Sale and Trade forum was to protect the members from scams and bad deals.

We don't have buyer and seller protection like eBay.

Until Webby chimes in, that's all I can add to the conversation.

Going off of what cameron said i think there were issues with peopple selling things that they shouldnt have, items that may have "fallen off the truck" perhaps?

Perhaps we could have some sort of sticky thread with a disclaimer that 8thcivic is not responsible for the content of items for sale, etc, etc.

You can get scammed just as easliy on 'civic related items' as on IPod stuff. Many forums add a subforum for 'worthless cheating bastards' or 'DONT BUY FROM USER X' threads. Really, I would agree with a previous poster, most did not just fall off the turnip truck, and for any young (or not so young) foolish folks that get burned, take it as a learning experience. Or, just go to ebay.
