Issues with me?? - get in here
It seems as though I've been called out as the bad leader. I guess I'm not a fair person, and I'm not treating you guys how you deserve to be treated. I hear that the sweatshirt contest was all a scam, and the winners were fixed. I left the voting to be "private" so that no one would have to feel guilty about picking one persons design over another. All you guys could see were the # of votes per design, and not the person who voted on each.
That way, you could just vote and not have to worry about hurting a fellow friend on the site or whatever. I thought that would be the fair way to run the poll and get the best voting response. But I guess my idea was a failure, and now I'm being called out as a horrible leader and a scam artist. Honestly, I just wanted to have a fun contest where you guys could design a hoodie and win some prizes for participating. Unfortunatly, things took a different turn, and people were PMing myself and other moderators on the site about votes, multiple user accts, multiple IP addresses, etc etc. I honestly think it's sad that I'd have to provide a list of the IPs that voted to prove one person won over another. Before all of the fighting broke loose I was actually going to provide all participants (anyone who submitted a design) into the VIP for at least a month, and the winner for a year. I dug into the IP addresses of the voters to see if there was foul play, and to see who was voting for what. If you want to talk about your design or the outcome - IM me - sales8thcivic - aim and we can talk about the voting. So how do I make everyone happy here? Well, what I'm going to do is give the top 3 sweatshirts (all close in votes) vip memberships. I'm also going to do ordering a little different. We're going to have a preorder on the sweatshirts possibly starting as early as Saturday. All three shirts will be available for purchase to make things fair. I'll probably run the preorder for a week to 2 weeks to see how many want ordered, and what designs. If anyone has something to say to me - please just say it here. I'm willing to talk to any of you if you have problems, or are upset with the forum in general. Whatever it is, just say so. I'd rather that, then have things explode later. Speak your mind. Even if it's a praise - speak your mind. Tell me what you guys dislike or like about the site. It's the only way we can work together to make things better around here. I'll do what I can. |

WTF..... i <3 webby.... good man... gives good advice... like to make old furniture look good.... must i go on?
 webby*edit* great site by the way.... im pretty much addicted to it... any info about cars is cool. I learned how to clay my car... how to wax... what types of products are good, etc.... very good site  |

but yeah, good job on the site webby....i can vouche that ur doin a good job from personal experience...it's a damn lotta work to admin a site...always checkin the threads, keeping order, assigning moderators, making website changes, forum changes, adding rules, etc....(and the list goes on) but yeah, good luck with the t-shirt designs! we're starting that on SCC too...a few members have been submitting t-shirt designs, so ya, we'll see how it goes. best of luck! |
