^i'm sorry, but I think Meguirs is the best bang for the buck by far. Yes, Zaino, Turbowas, Pinnacle among others may be a better wax over all but they are also extremely expensive.

The difference in cost does not outweigh the performance in any way what so ever.

How is turbo wax expensive??? A bottle of wax for 20 bucks vs. 13-14 for an inferior wax..... ::shrugs:: it's your car man not mine!

Ok, sorry. NO need to be a smart ass dude. I didn't really know how much it is, but I do know that Zaino is expensive. Which is why I made the point that Zaino's price does make up for its performance.

What made me mad was that you put mohouse down even though he was stating his opinion.

I like the synthetic 3m paste wax. About 20/can but will last several years.

Also like Meguirs for the price. And Zymol one step cleaner/wax the cheaper stuff found at Wal-Mart for the price.

I'm using Menzurs FMJ paint sealent over a Meguires polish and then seal that with the 3m paste wax. Takes some time but I only do this twice a year. Always use numerous clean soft mitts for waxing. Only wash with ultra soft mitts and Meguires car shampoo.

I have 2 5 gallon buckets, and literally over 100 microfiber, terry, and chenille towles... seperated for drying and wax removal!

although they tested all these I know which is best. Its expensive so if u got the money trust me, this is what u need. This is for any car type! The product is called, Commodore. Commodore is a paint sealent that protects your car and makes it bead water off like theres no 2morrow. It will run u $300 per bottle and all u get is about 10oz. It is wat the professional dealerships use. The next thing u need is a product called< Renewal. Apply after the commodores and it will make ur paint shine like the sun and shine for a very long time! its less expensive prob will run u around $30. There u go, no black magic.

I tried a bunch of waxes/sealants on the hood of my jet black BMW 540i (Pinnacle Sovereign, Klasse All-In-One, Zymol Cleaner Wax, Meguires, etc) and Zymol by far gave the best shine and not very difficult to remove. The others paled in comparison. Not sure if it is as durable as the others but I don't go longer than a month between waxings. Did not compare it to Zaino but the Zymol was easy to put on and easy to take off and left a heck of a shine. Great smell to it - like coconuts - makes you feel like you are on a tropical vacation.

Did you actually compare them side by side like this?

I didn't use the painter's tape to section them off - although I like the visual reference. I used six sections across the hood of my car. Mine looked like yours but striping across the width of my hood.

I had my friends and family pick which section they thought had the deepest shine and it was almost unanimous for the Zymol. Some were much more pronounced than others. I even tested one of the black waxes that was supposed to hide minor scratches but that was one of the worst. The Pinnacle Sovereign was my previous favorite but the Zymol was definitely better.

I wanted to do a long term durability test on larger sheet of painted metal and put it in my back yard for a couple of months but haven't had the chance yet.

I'll be interested to hear your feedback since you have some of the ones I haven't tried.

Are you testing single coats of each wax to keep it consistant?

Good to know.

A lot of people swear by a wax but never actually put them side by side with another.

I did that test last summer, the link is in my sig. It was more to show that the difference is minimal on a well prepped panel.

Everybody has his own choice.
I had been using autoglym wax but recently i thought about trying Swissvax Concroso.
Although this seems very expensive choice, but i actually went for this $240/- car wax (200ml).
Ok the time spent is indeed too much but it is worth a time. You seriously feel the difference specially when after waxing u leave it for like 3,4 hrs. But compared to the price, it still feels too much expensive to me.

Has anyone of u tried that?
